Final Thoughts

An easy, feel-good read with a lovely island setting and enough going on to keep the pages turning. The seaside atmosphere, spring details and close-knit community are probably the strongest parts.

The writing can be a little over-explainy at times, though, and some of the romantic dialogue and situations verge on cringy. Certain feelings and relationship issues also get repeated more than they really need to.

It’s still enjoyable enough to want to finish, but not quite one of those books that completely sweeps you away.
